Vicki Price teaches two welcoming line dancing classes in Kingaroy, guided by her motto of Fun, Friendship and Fitness.

Her classes include the Kingaroy Line Dancing group on Friday mornings and the Silver Foxes Line Dancers on Monday mornings. Vicki began line dancing in 2019 and quickly developed a passion for both participating in and teaching classes. She has since taught a range of community sessions and demonstrations, including beginner programs and local events.

Line dancing is a fun and accessible activity that offers many physical, mental and social benefits. It helps improve balance, coordination, flexibility, strength and endurance, while also supporting bone strength and cardiovascular health. Because dancers learn and remember step sequences, line dancing can also assist with memory, focus and concentration, helping to keep the mind active.

The movement, music and social connection involved can help reduce stress, lift mood, ease feelings of isolation, and increase overall energy and confidence.

One of the wonderful advantages of line dancing is that no dance partner is required, making it easy for people to join in at their own pace. Steps can also be modified where needed, so participants of different ages, fitness levels and abilities can take part comfortably.

Vicki’s classes are open to dancers of all ages and ability levels, with a focus on creating a friendly and supportive environment where people can enjoy movement, music and connection.

Silver Foxes Line Dancers: Monday mornings, 9:00am to 12 noon, at the G.B. Hall, Kingaroy Showgrounds.

Kingaroy Line Dancing: Friday mornings, 9:30am to 12 noon, at the Anglican Church Hall, Alford Street.

At ARISE Festival, Vicki and her dancing groups are presenting a combined dance demonstration and mini class, lasting approximately 20 minutes. 

The demonstration dance will be Mileys Flowers, choreographed by Trude Dalene to the  music “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus. 

The teaching dance will be I’m Alive AB (Absolute Beginner), choreographed by  Annemaree Sleeth. The music is an upmarket version of Celine Dion’s “I’m Alive”. 

We will also do some basic line dance steps to the music played during the Fashion  Parade. 

The dancers are from Kingaroy Line Dancing and Silver Foxes Line Dancing groups.
